Meet Orion, a sweet bird who was brought to STAR after being found outside. We gave this brave little man a warrior’s name, as he’s been fighting hard to be here. Orion was severely underweight when he arrived and tested positive for fatty liver disease. He’s been treated and is working on a healthy diet to reverse some of this, but he will need a home willing to maintain an annual relationship with an avian vet to keep up his health. He is resilient and affectionate, loving to get any head scratches you’re willing to give. Orion steps up sometimes, but mostly likes sitting on his cage chattering at the world outside his window. He’s an excellent companion, just looking for the right home. Do you have room in your world for this beautiful boy? Adoption Fee: $120Adoption processWhether interested in adopting a particular bird or not, you will need to fill out an Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. From there, our adoption team will process your application (including background check, veterinarian check for all current animals, and a home visit)We will not ship any of our adoptable birds, and have a 100-mile adoption radius. We do not adopt to breeders.
